Kicheche Bush Camp

Kicheche Bush Camp

Kicheche Bush Camp in Masai Mara

Kicheche Bush Camp is located in the quiet Olare Motorogi Conservancy and has six tents only. Kicheche Bush is an intimate tented camp owned in partnership with photographer Paul Goldstein hence there is a keen focus on wildlife viewing and photography.

Kicheche Bush Camp is one of three Kicheche camps in the Maasai Mara, the others being Kicheche Mara Camp and Kicheche Valley Camp.

The six identical tents at Kicheche Bush Camp are spread far apart, making each very private. They are vast with rooms created by canvas walls. At the front of the tent, there is a lounge with comfortable chairs and a coffee table. It is here that your coffee or tea is left in the morning before you go for early morning game drive.

Game drives at Kicheche Bush Camp are done in comfortable, open-sided 4WD safari vehicles. They all have plug socket strips with inverters, for charging your batteries. The vehicles are made for serious photographers and the guides are superb. Game drives are mainly done in Olare Motorogi Conservancy which has few other vehicles around and some superb wildlife viewing. During the migration season (July to October), you may wish to spend a full-day visiting the main Masai Mara National Reserve to catch the wildebeest herds.

You can also arrange for an overnight fly-camp. Depart from Kicheche in the afternoon and walk to a simple bush camp with dome tents and a single bush shower and toilet.
