Terms and Conditions

Contract

Your contract in respect of your holiday is made with White Plains Safaris, registered in Kenya and all bookings are subject to these terms and conditions.

All communications by the White Plains Safaris in relation to your holiday will be sent to the address stated on the booking form.

We shall provide the service as set out and confirmed in writing.

White Plains Safaris will use its best endeavors to ensure that the transport, accommodation, meals and other agreed services are provided fully in compliance with the services which we have contracted to provide. By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation itinerary.

Liability

White Plains Safaris and associated companies accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes, sickness, weather, strikes, civil disturbances, war, quarantine or other causes. Baggage and personal effects are carried at owner’s risk and clients are cautioned against the risk of leaving them unattended.

Validity

Prices are valid from 01 January 2024 until 31 December 2024.

Payment

A deposit of 20% of the quoted price is required upon booking except air travel, which requires 100% payment upon booking as tickets have to be issued upon full payment. The balance must reach us not less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the safari. Where bookings are made less than 30 days before commencement of the tour, full payment must be made in order to confirm the booking.

Greater deposit may be required in instances of specialist products and/or peak season travel.

Changes

White Plains Safaris reserves the right to change any route or other arrangements, offer substitutes or to completely cancel the whole or any portion of a tour, should conditions necessitate. The right is also reserved to decline the acceptance of any person as a member of a tour should the presence of that person be prejudicial to the good conduct of the tour or be contrary to the prevailing laws of the country.

Photos and Marketing

You consent to us using images of you taken during the trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing

In the event you cancel your booking, in full or partially, White Plains Safaris will levy cancellation charges as defined below. In the event where White Plains Safaris is able to obtain waivers of cancellation fees from the suppliers, White Plains Safaris will pass on this to you less the service fees.

• No cancellation charges and 100% refundable deposit if done more 30 days before the start of the safari
• 30-11 days prior to arrival, 30% of the total cost is retained
• 10 days to arrival date, 100% of the total cost is retained
• No refunds will be made for no-shows, or any unused services
• Flights will depend on the airline issuing the ticket
• Monies refunded are minus applicable bank charges

Should you wish to make a change to your booking, White Plains Safaris will use its best endeavors to accommodate you. However, White Plains Safaris reserves the right to charge the applicable cancellation fees.

Claims and Complaints

If you have a complaint about your trip please inform your guide at the time in order that they can attempt to rectify the matter. If not satisfied then the complaint should be put in writing to us within 30 days of the end of the tour.

Governing Laws

These conditions shall be read and construed in all respects in accordance with the Laws of Kenya.
