Sand River Masai Mara Camp

Sand River Masai Mara Camp

Sand River Masai Mara Camp

Sand River Masai Mara is an ideal destination at any time of the year for those wishing to enjoy exceptional game-viewing. Sand River is separated into two separate but adjoining camp areas of 10 and 6 tents to make Sand River and Little Sand River. Each campsite has its own main area and dining area.

Sand River Masai Mara is on the Migration route and guests are able to watch wildebeest and zebra crossing the Sand River from the comfort of their tent verandah. Game viewing is outstanding throughout the year, but peaks with the arrival of the annual wildebeest migration between July and October

The food service at Sand River Camp is very high quality. Meals are usually served at tables in conventional restaurant style, either in the main dining room or out by the campfire. Bush meals, picnics and sundowner drinks are also a possibility.

Game drives usually head out early morning and late in the afternoon and last for 3 to 4 hours. It is possible to go out for an all-day drive with a picnic lunch, in which case it may be best to head for some of the more remote corners of the reserve or even across the river into the Mara Triangle.
