Elephant Pepper is a small tented camp located in the protected Mara North Conservancy. It was named after the grove of elephant pepper trees it is nestled in. The Camp has a real bush feel. Its ten tents are nestled amongst the trees.
Elephant Pepper Camp has open game drive vehicles specifically designed for comfort and photography 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers. The vehicles are fitted with enhanced features - photographic equipment stands and charging sockets. Guests will share game drives unless exclusive use of vehicle has been pre-booked at an extra charge.
The main activity in the camp is game viewing either in the conservancy or the national reserve. Guests are usually woken at 6.00am, have tea and coffee at 6.30am before heading for the game drive.
Night game drives are possible. After an afternoon game drive and a sundowner, the guide drives slowly back to camp with the spotlights so you can look out for some of the conservancy's nocturnal animals
Elephant Pepper Camp also offers bush walks. Walks are only for adults, 12 years and above.
Elephant Pepper Camp is located in the Mara North Conservancy, a 70,000-acre conservancy bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The 10 tents have a simple design, with woven floor coverings and dark furniture brightened with splashes of red. Each tent is equipped a small desk, luggage rack and bedside tables where you'll find insect repellent, a radio and a whistle for attracting attention.
Every tent has an en-suite bathroom, a flush toilet, hot shower and two brass basins. At the front of the tent, there is a hammock for relaxation.
There are two honeymoon tents with king-size beds and sofas, and can take up to two extra beds so are good options for families too.
