On your nine day safari that takes you to some of Tanzania’s most stunning national parks, you come face to face with several distinct cultural groups. This safari gives you the best possible introduction to this fascinating country.
You will enjoy nine days of game viewing drives that take you from the verdant greenery of Ngorogoro to the boundless plains of the Serengeti; from the varied terrains of Tarangire to the flamingo-filled waters of Lake Manyara, learning more about Tanzania’s native peoples with visits to Masai and Hadzabe people.

Arrive in Arusha at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to Venus Premier Hotel for the overnight stay.

Transfer from Arusha to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park in search of the elusive tree-climbing lion.
Lake Manyara is dramatically situated on top of the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the vast expanse of the Great Rift Valley. The 66 rooms blend gracefully with the serene natural surroundings and the lodge is located only a few minutes from Lake Manyara National Park. For those who want some time out of their vehicles, the lodge supports a number of nature trails and also has a resident naturalist to enhance the experience.

This morning is at leisure before transferring to Gibbs Farm, located in the Ngorongoro Crater highlands, for lunch. Continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world and the first sight is breath-taking. Rhino Lodge is situated on the eastern rim of the crater. The 92 rooms of the lodge are built in the traditional African rondavel style. There is a beautifully designed dining room, a bar, a well-stocked gift shop and a swimming pool.

Enjoy an early breakfast before driving out for your game viewing drive. Descend to the crater floor by 4WD safari vehicle for a morning unlike any other you will experience in Africa. Enjoy a picnic lunch amongst the hippos and birds before visiting a Maasai village in afternoon. Eland and waterbuck appear not to notice the human visitors, enabling photographers to shoot at ease. Zebra and wildebeest account for almost half the animals – gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and wart hog can also be seen. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind, made famous by Dr Leaky’s discovery of fossil fragments dating back some 3.5 million years. You will have picnic lunch then drive to Tortilis Lodge. The Lodge is centrally located in the Serengeti National Park. Enjoy game viewing en route.

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti in a 4WD vehicle with thrilling morning and afternoon game drives. Whether this is your first time on safari or a return trip, the Serengeti will not disappoint. The Serengeti National Park is arguably the most famous national park in the world. The principal attraction of the Serengeti is the passing of the wildebeest migration, when 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and other game that follow close behind make their way across the plains, stalked by predators.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by private vehicle to your beach resort. Breezes Beach Club is situated along a pristine, stretching as far as the eye can see. It is located on the eastern side of the island, near the village of Bwejuu approximately one hour from the airport. The hotel has a swimming pool, fitness and aerobics centre, water sports centre, floodlit tennis court, scuba diving, Makuti a-la carte restaurant, Breakers lunch restaurant, The Safari bar, Upepo Lounge and Mutiny Pool Bar.

Enjoy the day doing as you wish. You may like to take an optional trip to explore the old Stone Town, a spice farm or Jozani Forest to see the Red colobus monkey which is endemic to Zanzibar. You pay extra for the tour. Alternatively you may prefer to just relax at your resort or pamper yourself at the spa, enjoy yoga or meditation. There is also a water sports centre for snorkeling, windsurfing, sailing or canoeing and a licensed PADI dive centre.
