Foreigners who intend to visit Tanzania do not have to go through the hassle of applying for visas. With US$50 and a couple of questions, you get a visa once you arrive In Dar es Salam or Arusha. The East Africa Single Visa does not apply to Tanzania if you’ll over-landing.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, you may want to avoid contact with the visa process at the entry point and make sure you have your visa before you jet in. Thanks to technology, this can be done online with little or no hustle as long you have the requirements to getting the visa like passport copy, yellow fever card copy, and other Covid standard requirements by the government.
A visa is required each time you enter the United Republic of Tanzania. It is recommended to obtain your visa prior to travel, however visas are available at the entry ports of Dar es Salaam International Airport, Zanzibar International Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport and Namanga Entry Point. Visas can be obtained from any Diplomatic or Consulate Mission of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Most visitors to Tanzania require visas whether visiting for a holiday or to conduct business. Visas can be obtained on arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport, and the border posts of Namanga, Tunduma, Taveta and Holili. But it is advisable to apply for a visa from the nearest Tanzanian Embassy or Consulate before travelling to Tanzania. Some airlines will not allow passengers to embark on a flight to Tanzania without a valid visa.
There are two international airports in Tanzania – Dar es Salaam International Airport (DAR) 15 kilometers from City Center and Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), 50 kilometers from Arusha.

I have had the opportunity and good fortune to visit Kenya on safari many times and have always used White Plains Tours for all my trips. They are courteous, professional, knowledgeable and most of all, a whole lot of fun! Have seen all the keystone wildlife species that beautiful Kenya has to offer and White Plains has made it all happen from flights, transfers, accommodation, tours, guides and special excursions if you wish! A very special shout out to Joseph, the owner manager and occasional guide, and to Francis, head guide - they are a second family and lifelong friends. Thank you so much and see you again soon we hope!
I've used White Plains Tours for all of my holiday travels in Kenya. The team's professionalism and dedication to what they do is commendable. During my numerous trips with White Plains, I've done Masai Mara Tours and watched the magical Wildebeest Migration 4 times, visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and others to name but a few. I've also done various trips to coastal towns of Mombasa, Malindi, Watamu and Zanzibar. My transfers to and from the airport have always been smoothly handled. I would highly recommend White Plains Tours for all of your African Tours and travels needs.Kudos to the whole team at White Plains!..
